The film presents the true story of the 2008 Fruitvale Station shooting of a black boy by the police. Oscar used to sell marijuana, but after going to prison and having a daughter, he decided to be smart, and then lost his job and was resented by his wife. So, on New Year's Eve, they went to the city by train to see the fireworks, and they started to face a tragedy.
