Righteous Thieves (2023)
Righteous Thieves is a thriller film directed by recently released director Anthony Nardolilo and starring Lisa Vidal, Carlos Miranda and Jaina Lee Ortiz.The story follows Annabelle, the leader of a secret organization that collects long-lost works of art, particularly paintings that were illegally confiscated from Jews by the Nazis. Annabelle's teacher, Joseph, has spent his entire life hunting down paintings that the Nazis stole from his family. Annabelle is determined to pursue her teacher's unfulfilled goal. Currently, some of the paintings are in the hands of Otto Heisen, a German capitalist. Annabelle and her right-hand man Eddie recruit Lucy (Hacker) to retrieve them. Nadia (the key wizard) and Bruno the fool become members. Heisen's dangerous guards, biometric keys, technology, and over and over again, they'll retrieve the paintings from within the confines of the law. As a thriller, there aren't many exciting scenes or plot twists, but I found it enjoyable to watch. The soundtrack is featured a lot, and the raps in it are pretty cool, which is one thing I like.
