Normally, when I watch movies, I don't watch dramas or comedies. (I'm bored. 😛 ) But in the past two years, I've become more interested in dramas. I'm more interested in stories that show people's efforts than romances. I started watching this short story called The Intern. His short story is... A 70-year-old widower named Ben Whitaker is unsure of what to do with the rest of his life. He applied for a senior intern program at an online shopping company called About The Fit. There, he worked very hard and was devoted to his work. Here comes the big picture. Ben, a widower, is 70 years old. He previously worked for forty years at a company that published telephone directories. When he retired, his position was Vice President. After he retired, he had nothing to worry about. Financially, he was complete. His son's family wanted him. He was in good health. I went to see him. He applied for a job. Because he was tired of a life of doing nothing. He was happy because he was going to go back to work. I thought that it would be good if there were more programs like this senior internship. It is a job that is not too tiring. It is intellectual work rather than physical. These pensioners have about 30 or 40 years of experience. I am not talking about business experience. Life experience. How to solve the problem. They don't need to think about how to deal with the problem anymore. Looking at the pensioners' side, how will they live if they don't have to come to the office the next day after working for 30 or 40 years? Is this always possible or can everyone do it? It's not easy. So what happens? Taking care of grandchildren and doing household chores. Fight with housemates. forcefully Even so, it's good to be a grandmother. How can I do it for my grandfather? ) I'm going to walk around with their roommates. That's all I'm going to do. Instead of having to live like this, is it better to do some light work and occupy myself? It should be a job that suits me and I can do it. (Usually, intern programs don't have many requirements) There is not much to say about Jules as a female lead. She is a character who works too much and doesn't have much time for her family. But I respect her dedication to her work. If I were to talk about the character that I think is the most special in this story, I would have to say Matt, Jules's man. He is a stay-at-home dad. He doesn't do any work, he does household chores at home and takes care of the children. It's not because he doesn't have the strength. To support his wife's work, he quits his current job and stays at home. So... Overall, if you have time, please watch this movie. It's not a heavy drama, it's not a lot of crying, it's not too funny. But you'll get a lot to think about. IMDb rating is (7.1/10).
