After the earthquake, U Han Zaw (GM) and U Zaw Htet Aung (AGM) YESC were asked about the situation of power restoration in the aftermath of the earthquake, and they replied as follows. (1) There is no power supply from the main power line to Yangon Station. (2) The extent of the damage to the Yesha Dam and power plants is not yet known, so it is not possible to say exactly when the power will be restored. (3) Yangon Region will only be able to provide 300 megawatts of power from small power plants to important VIPs, and the rest of the public will not be able to provide power. (4) Generators are also being prepared for YESC departments to provide power. Therefore, it is uncertain when the main power line will be restored.
