The world's most haunted airport is Suvarnabhumi Airport, the beloved of the Burmese.
Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, opened in 2006 to replace the old Don Mueang Airport (DMK), is not only the best airport in the world to accommodate many international travelers, but also one of the most haunted places in the world.
The airport is built on an ancient burial ground called Nong Nguhao or Cobra Swamp, 15 miles east of Bangkok, and is said to be haunted by many ghosts and spirits.
Construction workers during the construction of the airport have reported seeing ghosts, and some believe that the deaths during construction were caused by ghosts.
Since the airport opened, many people have believed that the airport is inhabited by undead spirits. A ceremony was held in 2005 where 99 monks chanted prayers to ensure safety.
A former airport director said in an interview, "We even had to build a shrine for the ghosts to live in. There were so many spirits that one shrine was not enough."
