Thailand Samut Sakhon District Maha Chai New City It was reported that 4 people, including 3 Myanmar laborers, were killed and 11 others were injured while a crane was loading an iron frame onto the Gong Kyaw Bridge under construction on Phlan Kyut Road.
Today, November 29, at 4:35 a.m., Maha Chai New Town. The fall occurred when a steel frame was placed by a crane on the Gong Kyaw Bridge, which is still under construction on Flan Kyut Road.
"What happened was that near the Burmese Talat sapphire market, the 4 people who died were trapped under concrete blocks and iron frames. Burmese workers said that the rescue teams were trying to pull them out. More than 10 people were injured," said a Burmese worker working in Mahachai.
As a result of the incident, three (3) Burmese workers and one Thai national working in the bridge construction industry died on the spot. At least 11 workers were injured. The injured were taken to the hospital by human rescue teams.
Of the three (3) dead Myanmar workers, only Maung Chitko Ko's information is known. The identity of the remaining two workers is not yet known.
Officials are currently investigating the incident and are working to exhume the bodies of the dead workers trapped under concrete blocks and iron frames.
